AINP suspends two programs
On August 23, 2010, AINP announced that they are currently not accepting applications under the AINP U.S. Visa Holder Category and the AINP Family Stream. Applications postmarked after August 23, 2010 will be returned. Applications postmarked on or before August 23, 2010 that meet all program criteria will be accepted for processing and will be processed according to AINP Processing Times and U.S. Visa Holder Category or Family Stream criteria.
AINP used to have 8 categories where interested applicants can explore to stay in Alberta permanently such as: Skilled Worker Category, International Graduate, Semi-Skilled Worker, Compulsory Trades, Engineering Occupations, U.S. Visa Holder, Family Stream, Self-Employed Farmer Stream.
Individuals nominated by the Government of Alberta, together with their spouse/common-law partner and dependent children, can apply for a permanent resident visa through CIC as a Provincial Nominee. CIC makes final decisions on all Provincial Nominee permanent resident applications.
